A wonderful opportunity to meet the new babies, share our birth stories as well as doing baby massage and yoga, revitalising stretches for mum, discussion on natural parenting issues and much more.
These meetings are about inspiration, new friendships with women who are going through a similar transition in life, support and ideas to deal with the challenging moments, stretching a tired body and looking after your self in motherhood.
The babies enjoy being with other babies. The massage and yoga, the songs and all exercises are designed to do with your baby so it is fun for all.
You can attend the gatherings from shortly after the birth until you feel it is time to move on. The classes are open to all mothers - you do not need to have attended Birthwise classes during pregnancy to join.
The gatherings are led by Karin and Patricia.
The Mother and Baby Yoga is taught by Nikkie Huddart (Exeter) and Kara Green (Ottery St Mary). They are both lovely, very experienced and well qualified yoga teachers, have taught all ages and have a fun and relaxed teaching style. As well as teaching you some practical techniques that you can use with your babies to help you with the more demanding moments of parenting (to calm crying, ease colic and promote restful sleep) they will also offer some restorative yoga for you, focusing on areas that can be challenged in motherhood, such as shoulders, core and pelvic floor.
