Pregnancy Massage and Zero Balancing

Receiving bodywork while pregnant and after the birth is extremely helpful and nourishing.
During pregnancy the heart, the lungs, the digestive system and the kidneys have to work much harder and the bones and joints have to cope with the weight gain and postural changes. Often old aches and pains become worse and this can take a lot of enjoyment out of your time of pregnancy and motherhood.

As well as easing pains in the back, neck, shoulders and hips it improves the blood and lymphatic circulation, it relieves tired legs and cramps, minimises stress and fatigue, improves sleep and calms an overly active baby.

Bodywork is a powerful tool to support yourself in contacting the wisdom of your body, connecting with your baby and assisting you on your new journey into motherhood.

After the arrival of the baby bodywork will help you cope with the more challenging sides of motherhood like fatigue, sore back and shoulders and stress. By giving yourself some special attention on a regular basis you will feel pampered and have more energy to nurture your child.

Your partner also benefits greatly from Massage and Zero Balancing. As well as helping their aching muscles from extra DIY and shopping it actually helps them feel more confident and relaxed about being at the birth and becoming a father.

What the clients say

“I had massage throughout my pregnancy and have carried on after the birth of my baby. The continuity worked really well for me.

While I was pregnant it helped my whole system relax, it helped my body stay supple and it helped the body to get ready for birth. I loved the relaxation and all the good advice Karin gave me. It kept me calm – I wasn’t worried about the labour. My partner was able to carry on the massage during labour, which was great pain relief for me.

After the birth of my daughter I carried on with regular massages. It is crucial to me to take one hour out for myself where I can completely switch off. It has been a huge help to keep my stress level down and to re-energize my body as well as dealing with sore back and shoulders.”     Caran

“Having met Karin during the early stages of my first pregnancy, I found massage an instant haven to escape into an hour of pure relaxation. The treatment also proved a really helpful way of managing an existing back injury providing some much needed pain relief as well as improving sleep patterns; I also found that it relieved the increasing difficulties that accompanied PSD as my pregnancy progressed. I was amazed how comfortable you can be when your bump rules every other moment of your day. There was no question about continuing when I became pregnant a second time – again massage gave me the space and tranquility that life with a young baby did not have; it also allowed me time to think solely of my new baby and enjoy just being alone with my little miracle, something that could not happen at home. It was a vital emotional support that was able to supply me with energy I did not know I had – I would recommend Karin to anyone seeking peace and escape from whatever is happening in their daily lives”.      Petra
